Thursday’s keynote turns our focus to one of the most important drivers of success in any staffing organization: leadership. Join us in welcoming Lia Garvin as she presents How to Be a Leader People Want to Work For.
People often say employees don’t leave companies, they leave managers. But the reverse is also true: strong leadership is what makes people want to stay. Many business owners and managers step into leadership without the foundational skills needed, creating strain for both teams and leaders.
In this session, Lia shares three key behaviors that help leaders lead with confidence and drive stronger results in a time of AI, automation, and constant change. Drawing on experience at Apple, Google, and Microsoft, this is a practical, no-fluff conversation focused on actionable strategies to improve retention and performance.
What sets the best recruiters apart in today’s competitive market? Friday’s keynote, Be Better Than Your Competition: How to Differentiate Yourself in Today’s Recruiting & Sales Landscape, will explore how recruiters can build trust, communicate their value, strengthen relationships, and differentiate themselves in ways that lead to lasting success. This session, presented by John Ruffini, will explore the key areas where top recruiters distinguish themselves, including targeted recruiting and sales, communication mastery, relationship building, personal branding, and accountability.
John Ruffini is the Vice President of Professional Development for HealthTrust Workforce Solutions – an industry leader in the Healthcare Staffing space. John’s passion is recruiting and every recruiter hired at HealthTrust goes through a two-week boot camp training he developed that has improved ramp-up time by 30%.
